San Diego, CA – March 13, 2017- Pro Kids | The First Tee San Diego is proud to announce the election of Gabriel Carini, Founder and President of Carini Heating, Air and Plumbing to their board of directors.
“We are very excited to have Gabriel on the board. He’s already making great contributions to our organization. He came to us last year after participating in a golf tournament with The First Tee in Pebble Beach. He was so impressed with these kids, he knew he wanted to get involved on a local level,” said Andrew Holets, CEO of Pro Kids | The First Tee of San Diego. “Gabriel and his company jumped right in to sponsor our first Women’s Tournament in December and they’ve stayed involved and are assisting us in marketing several events during this year.”
“I am honored to be elected to the Board of Directors of Pro Kids | The First Tee of San Diego,” said Gabriel Carini. “I really enjoy hanging out and playing golf with these great kids and I love that this program stresses both life and academic skills, while using the game of golf to teach concepts such as patience, persistence, honesty and teamwork.”
Pro Kids | The First Tee of San Diego is headquartered at the Colina Park Golf Course with a North County branch near the Oceanside Municipal Golf Course. Young people are recruited to Pro Kids | The First Tee of San Diego to learn the game of golf, but in the process, receive academic assistance and are required to actively participate in the organization’s Academy. At the Academy, students must enroll for full-year increments, and commit to attending at least two days of after-school classes per week. The Pro Kids facility also gives the kids a safe haven to hang out after school in neighborhoods that can be dangerous.
